Paul Lonergan Architects

A brief on who we are

We are a small firm of architects based in Maldon. We value our client’s ideas, but we challenge client’s to explore and expand on their first ideas, so that completed projects exceed their expectations.

If you want an architect that will act as your partner, to guide you through  the process of design and construction, please give us a call.

What we do

We have 25 years experience in architecture.

We have designed and built individual homes, flats, and offices. We have extended and adapted many homes, and listed buildings.

Every client is unique, and no matter how big or small your project we will treat you as an individual.

We design buildings, interiors and and sites, including landscapes.

3D Modelling

We produce 3D models (CGI’s) of buildings, and interiors to illustrate designs and the quality of spaces created.

We have long experience in negotiating the planning process. This includes listed buildings and planning appeals.

Interior Design

We can help you understand your own style, and produce designs to match.

We administer construction contracts for clients. We help ensure that your project is built as planned, on time, on cost and at great quality.

Sustainable and healthy buildings

We can advise on sustainability including energy efficient buildings and healthy design and specification.

How we work

We work collaboratively with clients. Your own ideas are important to use. However, we will also challenge you with other ideas and solutions. Therefore every project is as unique as our clients.

We take time to listen to our clients and to understand  their home or site. Typically, we then produce several options that take different approaches to solving problems or maximising the potential of a building or site. These options may take the form of drawings, models or computer generated images.

Clients can then proceed to construction with confidence.
