Maldon architect, Paul Lonergan Architects, has won an appeal for a contemporary extension to the rear of a Victorian house.

The planning inspector commented that the contemporary extension would harmonise with the existing dwelling.

Paul Lonergan, the office director, commented “This appeal illustrates the value of employing an architect to design your project. The appeal was successful because the unique design responded well to the existing house. We demonstrated how the design evolved from understanding both the character of the applicant own house but also the context with regards to neighbouring homes. The appeal inspector agreed with our reasoning.”

Paul Lonergan also passes on his thanks to the client for supporting the original concept of the contemporary design and for preservering with the planning process.
