New project.

Paul Lonergan architects have just been appointed to design 14 new houses in a village in Hertfordshire.

The new homes vary in size from 70-180sqm, with 2, 3 and 4 bedrooms.

The setting is the redevelopment of a farm and requires sensitivity to adjacent homes. The rural context also requires that the site ecology is protected. This includes bats and reptiles, together with trees and water features.

Work so far.

We have already planned the site and prepared drafts of the 7-house types to be used. We have agreed a material treatment with the client and are preparing a preapplication enquiry to be submitted to the local authority.
