About Us

Paul Lonergan Architects

How we work

It sounds simple but we start by listening; we listen to our clients so that we truly understand their requirements and once we do we can respond imaginatively and creatively.

In a similar way period buildings also need to be assessed in order to understand their significance and their potential. We can then provide clients with well informed and sympathetic proposals that meet their requirements.

All buildings, new and old, can be optimised for energy efficiency and environmental performance. Again, we take time to assess potential, and then to produce realistic and thoughtful proposals.

WORKSTAGES 0 and 1
Preparation and Briefing

All projects will benefit from an initial period of analysis and investigation.

For example it is vital to understand the significance of a heritage building; analysis of this significance will not only help produce a better scheme but also ease ones relationship with planning departments and conservation officers.

WORKSTAGES 2 and 3
Concept Design and Coordination

Architects add value to projects with their  creativity, knowledge and experience working with clients and buildings. We have twin passions for working with heritage buildings and energy efficient buildings.

All our designers undertake RIBA Conservation training.

WORKSTAGES 4 and 5
Design and Supervision
In the construction supervision phase, we perform quality management at the building site based on design drawings and carry out inspections before completion.
WORKSTAGES 6 AND 7
Visualizations & Animations

We offer services following completion of works on site. Many buildings will benefit from planned maintenance, monitoring and re-evaluation. We can work with you to get the best from your property, and help you enjoy it into the future
